The matador from Huelva cuts three ears in an afternoon marked by poise, finesse, and emotion, becoming the first bullfighter to exit through the Puerta del Príncipe at this year’s Feria de Abril.
On 9 May in Seville, Daniel Luque and Tomás Rufo stood out in a varied Garcigrande bullfight, each earning a trophy. Morante, in his farewell performance of the fair, enchanted the crowd with his artistry, though the sword denied him a prize.
The matador from Gerena emerged as the standout performer in the Victorino Martín bullfight, cutting two ears from the imposing bull Mosquetón, who was awarded a lap of honour. Luque showed flashes of brilliance, while El Cid left empty-handed.
Seville’s own Borja Jiménez delivers a standout performance with the sixth bull, cutting the only two ears of a disappointing afternoon marred by the dullness of the Jandilla herd. Castella and Manzanares left without reward.
